Guy Alexander (A.K.A. Alex Roberts), started mixing during April 2001 and has been involved in dance music ever since. Alex had a passion for his music from a very early age and strived to fulfill it over the years to come. He gained his first set after mixing for just a year and half; being given the chance to play for a local club night Nemesis, alongside resident DJ - Steve Fudge. This debut led to him being made a fortnightly resident from which Alex gained much confidence and experience through playing to a crowd. In addition to playing at Nemesis, Alex also gained sets at other local nights in the area.
In 2004 Alex entered the Eyecon DJ Competition at the Dance Academy in Plymouth and made it through to the final where he finished as a runner up. Playing in this competition was a great experience for Alex and gave him more determination than ever before. He then re-entered the following year; made it to the finals amongst tough competition, and won gaining him a weekly residency at Eyecon; Plymouth's biggest club night, playing alongside some the biggest and best names in the dance music scene.
Over the years Alex has gained much of his influence from DJ's such as Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren & Judge Jules to name but a few. The styles and techniques influenced from these DJ's have been acknowledged & re-worked to form the style and sound from which we hear from Guy Alexander today. His uplifting house & trance sets capture the audience due to his unique style and creativity.
